Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra returns to Edinburgh

at Edinburgh International Festival

Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra returns to Edinburgh International Festival with Vasily Petrenko, bringing a vibrant programme of Richard Strauss and Prokofiev.

The Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chief Conductor Vasily Petrenko bring a deeply moving programme to Edinburgh International Festival 2018, including Prokofiev’s Sixth Symphony – a masterful meditation on the tragedy of war. Also on the programme are orchestral songs by Richard Strauss, sung by the captivating, award-winning soprano Lise Davidsen. Petrenko and his Oslo players made a huge impact at Edinburgh International Festival in 2015, acclaimed for their sonic beauty and powerful musical visions.
