Norwegian emerging stars to Brighton

at The Great Escape

Tuvaband, Great News, Sassy 009, EERA and Moviestar are all going to Brighton for The Great Escape Festival this May.

Trio Sassy 009 brings mystical, intimate and minimal music, that effortlessly floats between references of house, pop, techno and experimental to Coalition on Thursday and to Komedia on Friday. Delivering a more unpolished and gritty sound than before, Tuvaband plays at Queens Hotel on Friday. Great News classifies their sound as daze-pop. See them live at The Walrus on Thursday and at Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar on Friday.

EERA, whose debut EP’s eerie, atmospheric sound earned favourable comparisons to Sharon Van Etten and Cat Power, performs at The Arch on Thursday and at the Marine Room on Friday. Lastly, the band from the future, Moviestar, play at Hotel Pelirocco on Saturday.
