This London Jazz Festival event represents one of the very last opportunities to catch the quartet of haunting vocalists that is the Hilliard Ensemble before their retirement at the end of 2014.

 

They’ve been performing with Norway’s legendary jazz saxophonist Jan Garbarek for 20 years, so these two events mark the end of a genuinely remarkable journey in music.

The serene atmosphere and resonant acoustics of Temple Church will create a very special, intimate atmosphere for their final London concerts together, blending Garbarek’s soaring saxophone with the melodious beauty of the ensemble’s unaccompanied voices.

Both shows are – unfortunately but unsurprisingly – sold out.
