Zero Visibility

at Sadler’s Wells

Drawing on myth to explore the role of the gaze in the way we construct and interpret the world around us, Oslo-based dance company Zero Visibility Corp presents one of its most acclaimed works with a two-night run at London’s Sadler’s Wells.

Sought-after choreographer Ina Christel Johannessen reinterprets the story of Artemis and Actaeon as an intense physical duet. The tale, in which a hunter spies upon the goddess bathing, is punished by being transformed into a stag and ultimately dismembered by his own dogs, provides an emotionally charged basis for a poetic, high-energy performance from dancers Line Tørmoen and Dmitri Jourde.

Set to an electronic score of new and rewritten music from international composers, …It’s Only a Rehearsal has attracted worldwide praise from New York to Sydney, and is returning to London exclusively as part of Sadler’s Wells’ Scandinavia-celebrating Northern Light season. Make sure you don’t miss it.

“Startling, sensual 21st-century motion. This is no rehearsal. This is the real deal”
